Atlanta Printmakers Studio

The studio provides capabilities for intaglio, monotype, woodcut, linocut, letterpress, screen print, papermaking, book arts and various mixed media techniques.

Equipment includes:
•Charles Brand Etching Press 30×50
•Vandercook 215
•Vandercook SP15
•Chandler & Price Old Style platen presses, 8×12 and 10×15
•Metal letterpress type
•Assorted hand rollers & brayers
•Screen exposure unit & vacuum frame
•Karcher power sprayer
•Assorted screens and squeegees
•Papermaking vats & hydraulic press
•Paper moulds & deckles
•Bookbinding sewing frames & book press
•Large drying rack
•Flat files
•Large work tables

Limited Access Studio Hours:
Tuesdays 10a-4p
Thursdays 10a-9:30p
Saturdays 10a-4p
Sundays 10a-4p
Studio is closed on the following Holidays:
New Years Day
July 4th
Christmas Eve

Studio Rental

Two levels of rental are available for artists to work in the studio:Key Holder and Limited Access. Details below.

All renters must submit written application with a deposit, have an interview, show work samples, and attend a studio orientation before working in the studio, so please allow sufficient time for this process before you plan to start.

Key Holders:
These renters work independently and have their own key to the studio. Key Holders must be APS members, give a $100 refundable security deposit, and commit to a 3, 6 or 12 month agreement. (Working key holders receive a discount for serving as studio monitors and regularly maintaining the studio. They must exhibit a well rounded knowledge of printmaking.)

Benefits: 24/7 access to the studio, plus personal storage space in the studio

12 Month Commitment:
$75/month (working)

6 Month Commitment: 
$80/month (working)

3 Month Commitment: 

Limited Access Renters:
These renters work independently during studio hours when a studio monitor is present. Security deposit is $50.

6 Month Commitment:
$60/month (APS members)

Monthly Rental:
$70/month (APS members)

Daily Rental:
$30/day (APS members)
